Charlottetown's Airport Charlottetown International Airport, or "YYG" (its international aeronautical designation) is PEI's largest airport. It is located only 5 km (3 miles) from downtown,

The Charlottetown Airport is serviced by Air Canada, Air Nova, Prince Edward Air Ltd. and, during the summer months, Royal Airlines. These offer up to 13 daily passenger and air cargo flights to Halifax, Montreal and Toronto. The Airport has two runways (ILS on runway 03-21), three taxiways and two parking aprons.'

Charlottetown's Airport The Airport Terminal Building facilities including a restaurant and lounge, gift shops, meeting and conference facilities and a Business Centre. This centre is equipped with telephone and fax services, a computer work station, printer, and no-charge internet access. A small meeting and conference area is also available.

NOTICE: Effective January 1, 2001, a Passenger Facility Charge of $10.00 is payable by all passengers departing the Charlottetown Airport. Payment is made prior to proceeding through security.

    From the airport, the best way into town is by taxi, which are flat-rated into CharlottetownThe fare is $10 for a single passenger, and multiple passengers are $8 first passenger + $4 for each additional passenger. You can also rent-a-car (cost varies). If you are planning to stay in Charlottetown itself, everything is close together and a short walk from the core.

    The city's bus system does not service the airport.
